Effective January 1, 2023 a 6% sales tax will be added to all booth fees. Kentucky has made substantial changes to how some services are taxed. This includes many different types of short term rentals, such as events like the Woodland Art Fair. If you would like to read more about the new tax, you can find information here: https://taxanswers.ky.gov/Sales-and-Excise-Taxes/Pages/default.aspx

Load-in & Load-Out.
Since the Fair is held outdoors, Load-In and Load-Out are structured around weather conditions. Normally, cars are allowed to drive into the park; however, if the ground is wet, artists will have to park on surrounding streets and dolly their work into the park. Lexington Art League encourages all artists to bring carts and dollies for loading in and out of the Fair in case of inclement weather.
There will be a drive-thru Check-In process. Details will be included in acceptance information.
Artists will not be permitted to drive their vehicles onto the park until 5:30pm on Sunday. We ask that artists break down their booth as far as possible before retrieving their vehicles. This is to ensure the safety of all artists, fairgoers, and staff as the park empties out at the conclusion of the Fair. Being able to drive into the park for Load-Out is contingent upon weather conditions, as aforementioned.
No trailers, RV's, or Cargo Vans are permitted to park on the streets surrounding Woodland Park. There will be designated parking for all artist vehicles. If you have a disability and need to be able to park close to your booth, please specify in your application and we will be happy to accommodate you on the Clay Avenue side of the park.
KENTUCKY SALES TAX Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting and reporting Kentucky state sales tax (6%) on all sales.
LEGAL Arrangements for commissions are solely between the artists and buyer. Lexington Art League will have no involvement in any aspect of such transactions made at the Woodland Art Fair. Lexington Art League will not be held liable in any way for problems that might arise from such agreements and will not participate in any efforts to settle such disputes.
